Advanced Labelling Systems Ltd (ALS) of Thame, Oxfordshire, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dougie Wilson to the position of Sales Engineer, for Scotland and North of England.
Dougie brings with him a wealth of experience having spent nearly 10 years at Avery Weigh-Tronix Ltd selling industrial weighing equipment and labelling machinery into many industries including; food, brewing & distilling, health industry & the NHS. With a technical engineering background, Dougie’s easy-going nature and ability to work with customers at all levels from shop floor to board level, enables him to understand his customers’ requirements and present solutions that meet their requirements within their budgets – the essential mix of qualities ALS was looking for!
When asked why he wanted to join the ALS team, Dougie commented, “It is tough selling capital equipment at the best of times but it is what I am good at and what I enjoy best. I wanted a new challenge that used all my technical and sales abilities to help me give customers in my region what they wanted. I had worked with the guys from ALS on numerous joint projects during my time at AWT and I always liked their approach to specifying and building labelling equipment. ALS has given me the freedom to work in my own way but it is good knowing I have the technical and commercial backup of the whole team supporting me whenever I need it.”
Outside working hours Dougie enjoys spending time with his family, playing keyboards and repairing motorbikes!
